On 16 April 2023, Jidu gave a talk titled “An Explicit-Implicit Thermo-Hydro-Mechanical Coupled Material Point Method for Saturated Porous Media” at the 26th Annual Conference of the Hong Kong Society of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics (HKSTAM 2023), held in conjunction with the 18th Shanghai–Hong Kong Forum on Mechanics and Its Application at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
The talk introduced an explicit-implicit THM-coupled MPM for saturated porous media, an early version of the framework later published in Computer Methods in Applied Mechanics and Engineering. It was Jidu’s first conference presentation during his Ph.D., supervised by Prof. Jidong Zhao.
