On 2 December 2023, Jidu gave a talk titled “A Semi-implicit Material Point Method for Thermo-hydro-mechanical Simulation of Saturated Porous Media” at the International Symposium on Innovations in Geotechnical Engineering towards Sustainability (IGES 2023), co-organized by The Hong Kong Polytechnic University and HKUST.
The talk presented a stabilized semi-implicit MPM for coupled THM problems in saturated porous media undergoing large deformation, joint work with Prof. Jidong Zhao, Dr. Shiwei Zhao and Dr. Weijian Liang, and published shortly before in Computer Methods in Applied Mechanics and Engineering.
