On 31 January 2026, Jidu officially concluded his journey at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST). Over four and a half years, first as a Ph.D. student and then as a postdoctoral researcher, HKUST has been the place where his research career took shape.
Jidu would like to express his deepest gratitude to his supervisor, Prof. Jidong Zhao, for his generous guidance and support in both research and life.
“None of what I have achieved academically would have been possible without Prof. Zhao. He has been the guiding star of my academic journey, and I will always look up to him as a role model.”
Jidu also sincerely thanks all members of the Jidong Group for their collaboration, encouragement and friendship over the years. He carries many cherished memories of HKUST with him as he begins the next chapter at UC Berkeley.
