IJNAMG paper named a Top Cited Article

We are pleased to share that our paper “Thermo-hydro-mechanical coupled material point method for modeling freezing and thawing of porous media”, published in the International Journal for Numerical and Analytical Methods in Geomechanics (IJNAMG), has been recognized by Wiley as a Top Cited Article, ranking among the journal’s top 10 most-cited articles published in 2024.

Developed as part of Jidu’s Ph.D. research at HKUST, the work introduced a thermo-hydro-mechanical (THM) coupled material point method (MPM) for freezing and thawing porous media. To our knowledge, it is among the earliest fully coupled THM modeling frameworks capable of capturing thawing-induced large deformation.
