On 24 June 2026, Jidu visited the College of Architecture and Civil Engineering at Xiamen University and met with Prof. De-Chun Lu, Dean of the College. Prof. Lu introduced the future development of civil engineering at Xiamen University, where marine geotechnics will be a key area of growth.
Jidu found the exchange very inspiring. The two discussed how the multiphysics and multiscale modeling framework Jidu has developed could be applied to marine and offshore engineering, for example to foundations for offshore wind turbines, foundations for coastal nuclear power plants, and subsea tunnels.
Founded in 1921, Xiamen University is one of China’s leading universities and the top university in Fujian Province. Its coastal campus on the Taiwan Strait gives it a distinctive advantage for ocean-related research, and the university is internationally recognized for its strength in ocean and marine sciences, an ideal setting for advancing marine geotechnics.
