The 17th Annual MPM Workshop was held on 10 September 2026 in Salt Lake City, Utah, hosted by The University of Utah.
Jidu had planned to present our joint work with Prof. Kenichi Soga, Dr. Bodhinanda (Nanda) Chandra, et al., titled “A solid-like rheological model for fresh concrete and its implementation in the material point method”. As Jidu was unable to attend due to a prior commitment, Nanda kindly presented the work on his behalf. Many thanks to Nanda!
Conner and Ningyi, Ph.D. students in Prof. Soga’s group, and Dr. Tianrun Gao, Jidu’s fellow HKUST alumnus, also attended the workshop.
Jidu regrets missing the chance to exchange ideas with the MPM community in person this year, and looks forward to joining next year’s workshop.
